Our training methods:

  • Increase your knowledge on how
    dogs learn and communicate, and
how to use that knowledge in a
    gentle way.
  • Are not "cookie cutter" methods.
    They are customized to your
individual needs, even in a class
    setting.
  • Fit into your everyday life.  You
will be amazed how quickly your
    dog responds to you!
                           What is Clicker Training?
The phrase "clicker training" was coined by Karen Pryor, a behavioral scientist and trainer,
who helped bring these techniques to the world of dog training.  Clicker training principles
are based on the learning theories of "operant conditioning" with positive reinforcement.
Positive reinforcement can be praise, toys or food.

The clicker is a "training tool" that is used to mark the correct behavior of your dog.  Once
the dog has learned the behavior the clicker is not needed.

This method is currently being used to train animals at Sea World and zoos all over the
world.  It has even been used to train chickens!
